Even more lovely than a tree

This is a workshop that we did recently using the stamp set lovely as a tree and ink duster brushes.  The cards themselves were simple and clean in design with a little matting and layering and stamping to show off the lovely effects that can be created using our fabulous range of inks.
The trees are all stamped using black, other colours we used were cherry cobbler which gives this gorgeous red pink colour when combined with so saffron.

We had great fun tearing our mountains and valley's!  The sun was created using our large circle punch and a sticky note, we used the hole that was punched out to ink through above the mountains and  inked around the circle on the other cards to give a different look.
Colours used for the oak tree background were again so saffron, cajun craze, cherry cobbler and a light smudging of black ink to the bottom corners.

We have used pocket silhouettes to stamp around the edge of this card and lighter colours, pacific point and certainly celery to give this card a sunny feel.
I really hope that you like the cards, I am really proud of the cards that were made on that day, they all looked beautiful:)
I have a repeat of this workshop on Saturday July 9th if you would like to try out the ink dusters.
Thank you for looking, I hope that I have inspired you to use this lovely stamp set. X x

Not quite Carousel Notes an' Cake

Don't you love the combination of chocolate chip with so saffron?  I have used my teapot holder (just the right size for a 6" circle.. sorry I still work in old money!) to cut out 4 circles from the sweet pea summer paper stack.  I loved both sides of the paper so much I alternated them.  Then using pumpkin pie and close to cocoa I stamped the hedgerow with my pocket silhouette stamp set... and no Lesley I really don't know "how I have lived without them", they really are so delicate and so versatile, you can see more of what can be done with them on her blog: lesleyscards. Thanks go to Kelly of 'classystampin' for the inspiration for this.

I used the cake template that I have used before and decorated it using flight of the butterfly and a cream pearl from the pretties kit and completed the trio with a small gift tag. We did use the carousel notes too.
